Black Hawk Down (2001)

I've always wondered why there isn't a 1/6 headsculpt of Ewan McGregor with a Ranger haircut. Afterall, Toy Soldier did provide almost everything to do a bash of him.

I can understand why there isn't likely to be any for Orlando Bloom though. He barely had screen time.

Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi (1983)

Take note of the skinny chest armour and helmet on the Stormtroopers. It looks like the Medicom Stormtrooper is not that wrong after all. It's amusing that so many of the Stormtroopers are lefty.

For a leading hero character, Luke is certainly an ugly dude. Mark Hamill no longer has the innocent boy look that he spotted in A New Hope.

Wasn't Luke a blondie?!? All I see is brown hair.

The only time Luke wore his X-Wing pilot suit in the movie. It was the black Jedi outfit for the rest of the movie. (With additional poncho and helmet during the Endor scenes)

It appears that Ewan McGregor tried to mimic Alec Guinness' speech and mannerism in the Prequels. He did a good job at it if that was the case.

Of note are the Asian and female X-Wing pilots in the background.

Some details on pilot control panel on Wedge's chest.

See how glossy Vader's helmet is?

It's not glossy anymore in this scene. He ought to choke his polisher.

Some closeups on a Scout Trooper

The following conversation between Luke and Leia confirms that George Lucas screwed up big time in Ep III: Revenge of the Sith.

Luke: Leia, do you remember your mother, your real mother?
Leia: Just a little bit. She died when I was very young.
Luke: What do you remember?
Leia: Just images really. Feelings.
Luke: Tell me.
Leia: She was... very beautiful. Kind... but sad. Why are you asking me this?
Luke: I have no memory of my mother. I never knew her.

The only appearance of AT-AT in ROTJ.

El Alamein - la linea del fuoco (2002)

El Alamein - la linea del fuoco (El Alamein - The Line of Fire) is a rare WWII movie as it is about the Italians in the North Africa campaign. The combat scenes are fairly disappointing but I do like the look at the various Italian equipment. Do note that I'm not familiar with WWII Italians, so I'm unable to vouch for the accuracy of the stuff that are in the movie.

A close up on the gorgeous pith helmet with its' plume. Perhaps I should pick up a Twisting Toyz Bersagliere "Luca" figure.

The overhead camouflage net with its map like contour lines

The mini truck on the right is just so cute! Wonder what truck it might be.

A look at the items that an Italian soldier might carry.

This would make a good diorama.

Love the folds on the tunic under the strap. Would have to replicate this in 1/6 one of these days.

A close look at the boots with its puttee. The boots that came with Luca doesn't even come close to looking like the real thing.
